Theo Van Doesburg is a Dutch painter and a founder of the movement and magazine titled
De Stijl which is Dutch for
"The Style". The magazine promoted their philosophies of art which are based on the style known as neoplasticism- the new plastic art. This movement is abstract and simplified. Using only the primary colors along with black and white and horizontal and vertical directions. Van Doesburg died of a heart attack in 1931, following his death the last issue of De Stijl was released as a memorial issue with contributions by old and new members from De Stijl.
I want one of these paintings in my house.
